Thailand festivals December 2026 run from the first weekend to New Year's Eve: four of the country's biggest music festivals inside 18 days, the King's Cup Regatta in Phuket, the Full Moon Party on 24 December and the countdowns on the 31st.

Which December weekend should you pick?

Pick your December festival weekend by the music you want and the base you like. The festivals land on three different weekends, so each one gives you a different trip.

• Weekend one, 3 to 7 December: Wonderfruit, five days of music, art and food outside Pattaya. Saturday 5 December is a public holiday and banks take Monday 7 December off in its place, so it's a long weekend; the King's Cup Regatta starts the same Saturday in Phuket.
• Weekend two, 11 to 13 December: Tomorrowland Thailand near Pattaya on 11 to 13 December, or Big Mountain in Khao Yai on 12 and 13 December for Thai bands. Two festivals, one weekend, and Thursday 10 December, Constitution Day, is a public holiday in the run-up.
• Weekend three, 18 to 20 December: EDC Thailand in Phuket, with a pre-party on Thursday 17 December and beach days after.
• New Year's Eve, 31 December: the countdowns in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket, or the Full Moon countdown on Koh Phangan. New Year's Day is a bank holiday too, so the break runs four days.

How do you plan Wonderfruit week?

Plan Wonderfruit week around a Pattaya pool villa: the festival runs five days and nights at The Fields at Siam Country Club outside Pattaya, with more than 25,000 people a day.

At the door, the 5-day Full Pass is ฿20,000 and the Weekend Pass ฿15,000; the organiser sells passes on its own site before the festival.

• Your base: a Pattaya pool villa from ฿12,500 a day.
• Getting there: a party van from Bangkok for ฿3,500 each way, up to 10 guests, about 2 hours.
• The extra days: stay on for Tomorrowland, a week later and in the same area.

Tomorrowland or Big Mountain on 12 December?

12 December is a choice: Martin Garrix and Swedish House Mafia at Tomorrowland near Pattaya, or two days of Thai bands at Big Mountain in Khao Yai. Tomorrowland Thailand runs from 11 to 13 December 2026 at Wisdom Valley, with more than 100 artists.

Every Tomorrowland ticket is sold out, so if you hold tickets, the trip is the part left to plan: the Pattaya villa from ฿12,500 a day and your own driver for the three days.

The Big Mountain Music Festival runs on 12 and 13 December 2026 at Farm Chokchai 3 in Pak Chong, near Khao Yai. The Special Cow 2-day pass is ฿2,100 and the VIP Cow ฿4,000, both on sale until 11 December. A luxury van with a driver, from ฿6,500 for 10 hours, takes you there and back.

How do you do EDC week in Phuket?

Do EDC Thailand week from a Phuket pool villa, with your own driver for the run to Rhythm Park in Cherngtalay. EDC Thailand 2026 runs from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 December, from 3pm to midnight, with a pre-party on Thursday 17 December. Martin Garrix, Tiësto, DJ Snake, Above & Beyond and Charlotte de Witte head the lineup.

Three-day passes started at ฿10,490 for general admission and ฿16,490 for VIP at the Early Owl price, and every ticket is for ages 20 and over. The EDC Phuket Takeover runs parties across the island from 14 to 21 December.

• Getting around: a luxury van with a driver from ฿6,500 for 10 hours, up to 4 guests.
• The extra days: the beaches, and the King's Cup Regatta fleet off Kata the week before.

Where do you spend New Year's Eve 2026?

Spend New Year's Eve 2026 in Bangkok for the river fireworks, in Pattaya or Phuket for a beach countdown, or on Koh Phangan for the Full Moon countdown. New Year's Eve is Thursday 31 December, and New Year's Day is a bank holiday too, so the break runs four days.

• Bangkok: the river at ICONSIAM, the street party at CentralWorld, fireworks along Sukhumvit and the NEON Countdown at Rajamangala.
• Pattaya: Pattaya Countdown on the beach, free, which ran from 29 to 31 December in 2025.
• Phuket: in 2025 the big shows were the Patong Beach Countdown and 2,000 fireworks over Kamala Bay.
• Koh Phangan: the Full Moon Party's New Year countdown on Haad Rin, a week after the 24 December party.

Can you do two festivals in one trip?

Yes, you can do two December festivals in one trip, and the calendar makes it easy. Wonderfruit and Tomorrowland are a week apart in the same area outside Pattaya, so one Pattaya villa covers both. EDC Thailand is the following weekend in Phuket.

• Pattaya double: Wonderfruit 3 to 7 December, then Tomorrowland 11 to 13, from one Pattaya pool villa.
• Pattaya to Phuket: Tomorrowland 11 to 13 December, then fly south for EDC on 18 to 20.
• Festival to countdown: EDC on 18 to 20 December, then stay in Phuket for New Year's Eve.

What does a December trip cost?

Do December festivals sell out?

Yes, some do. Tomorrowland Thailand 2026 is sold out, and Wonderfruit's September and October ticket rounds sold out. Big Mountain's Special Cow pass is on sale only until 11 December, and beachfront rooms in Kata and Karon get tight from the weekend before the King's Cup Regatta. Book first: lock your base and cars as soon as you have tickets.
