When is New Year's Eve in Pattaya?

New Year's Eve in Pattaya is Thursday 31 December 2026, and Friday 1 January 2027 is a bank holiday too. The Pattaya countdown for 2026/27 isn't announced yet, so the table shows last year's dates as a guide (checked 7 Nov 2026; recheck mid-November).

What is the Pattaya countdown?

The Pattaya countdown is a free three-night beach festival on Central Pattaya Beach: concerts on the sand in the evening, and fireworks over the beach at midnight on 31 December. In 2025 it filled 29 to 31 December and drew tens of thousands of Thai and international visitors.

Who played the Pattaya countdown last year?

The Pattaya countdown opened last year with a Thai pop night on 29 December. Jeff Satur and BUS headlined, with 4EVE, PIXXIE, Perses and THX on the same bill.

Hundreds of drones lit up the sky over the bay that first night. The 2026/27 line-up hasn't been announced yet. Ask Tanner.

How do you reach the beach on the night?

Get to Pattaya Beach on New Year's Eve on foot or with a driver who knows the closures. Last year Pattaya City set the night up like this:

• 29 and 30 December, 3pm to 2am: the roads by the beach closed.
• 31 December: Beach Road closed down to Soi 10, and the city listed 13 official car parks.

A villa or hotel within walking distance makes the night simple.

Is there a countdown on Koh Larn?

Yes, Koh Larn has its own countdown at Na Baan Pier. Last year Koh Larn Pattaya Countdown 2026 ran on 31 December, a smaller island party across the bay from the main beach.

The easy way across is your own boat. A Pattaya private boat day starts from ฿49,000 for 8 hours, for up to 16 guests, and Tanner quotes any other boat to your plan.

Where else in Pattaya can you count down?

You can also count down at Pattaya's malls, at Bangsaen and at Sriracha Bay up the coast. Last year Terminal 21 Pattaya and Central Pattaya each had performers and a party of their own.

Central Marina Outlet joined in as well, Bangsaen held its own countdown and Sriracha Bay put on a fireworks show at midnight. Ask Tanner which fits your group.

Where do you party after the countdown?

After the Pattaya countdown, the party moves to the clubs. Under the Interior Ministry's 2023 regulation, licensed entertainment venues across Chonburi province, Pattaya included, can stay open until 4am.

You must be 20 to drink, and clubs check ID, so bring your passport. Tanner holds a VIP table for the night, priced to your trip and quoted the same day. Ask Tanner.

Where can you see Pattaya New Year fireworks?

Pattaya New Year fireworks go up over the bay at midnight on countdown night, and the best seat is your own boat on the water. The fireworks run across the bay, so you watch midnight from the water, away from the crowds on the beach.

• Where you leave from: Ocean Marina Jomtien, the main marina, or the pier set with your plan.
• Koh Larn: the island's own countdown is at Na Baan Pier, across the bay.

For a bigger show, come a month early. The Pattaya International Fireworks Festival runs on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 November 2026, with international teams setting their displays to music over Pattaya Bay. It draws tens of thousands of visitors, and one trip can take in both.
