TDAC Thailand Arrival Card
In short
TDAC is the Thailand Digital Arrival Card, the online form every non-Thai visitor fills in within 3 days before arriving.
What is the TDAC, and is it free?
The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is Thailand's free online arrival card, run by the Immigration Bureau at tdac.immigration.go.th. Every foreign visitor needs one, best filled in before the flight, and it has been in use since 1 May 2025.
You fill it in on your phone or computer before you fly, and you show the QR code it gives you at immigration.
It's an arrival card, not a visa. If your passport needs a visa for Thailand, you still need the visa, and the TDAC goes alongside it.
Why fill in the TDAC before you fly?
Do your TDAC Thailand form before you fly and you walk up to immigration with the QR code already on your phone. It takes about 3 to 5 minutes a person, and on a festival weekend at Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang, the faster line matters.
- Less to do on landing: your details are in before you reach the desk.
- One form for the group: up to 10 people at once.
- Room for changes: a new flight or hotel can be updated before you arrive.

How early can you fill out the TDAC?
Fill in the TDAC within 3 days before you arrive in Thailand, and the arrival day counts as one of the 3. So for a Friday arrival, you can submit from Wednesday.
The system doesn't send a reminder, so put it in your calendar. Read Tomorrowland Thailand, EDC Thailand, the countdown and Songkran for the festival dates. Ask Tanner to line up the rest of the trip.
When to submit the TDAC for festival arrivals

- Earliest day to submit:
- Wednesday 9 December
Friday 18 December 2026 (EDC Thailand)
- Earliest day to submit:
- Wednesday 16 December
Thursday 31 December 2026 (the countdown)
- Earliest day to submit:

Tuesday 13 April 2027 (Songkran)
- Earliest day to submit:

What do you need for the TDAC application?
For the TDAC application, you need the passport you'll travel on, your flight number and arrival date, your hotel or villa address, the purpose of your trip (tourism, for a festival), a few short health questions, and an email address, where your card and QR code are sent.
You can't save it halfway, so have everything ready before you start. Check your name, passport number, nationality and date of birth against your passport before you submit: those four can't be edited later, only replaced with a new card.
The common slips: a passport number typed from an old passport, a flight number that doesn't match your booking, or an arrival date one day off on a night flight. Copy them straight from your passport and your ticket, and use the email address you check while you travel, because that's where the QR code goes.
How do you do the TDAC for a group?
Fill in the TDAC for a group in one go: the Thailand online arrival card covers up to 10 travellers per submission. You can fill it in for family members, children and friends, and children and babies need their own card too.
For a festival group bigger than 10, split it into two or more submissions. Each person still gets their own QR code by email.
Plan it with Tanner.
What happens at immigration with your TDAC?
At immigration, you show the TDAC QR code on your phone with your passport. You don't need to print anything, though a printed copy is handy if your phone runs out of battery.
If you land without one, there are kiosks and Wi-Fi at arrival, and you can photograph the QR code from the kiosk screen.
Can you change your TDAC after you submit it?
Yes. You can change most of your TDAC with "Update Arrival Card", for example a new flight or a new hotel. Your name, passport number, nationality and date of birth can't be changed; for those, you submit a new card, and the latest one counts.
Do you need a TDAC for transit?
No, not if you stay airside. Transit passengers who don't pass through immigration don't need a TDAC. If you leave the airport, even for one night between flights, you need one.
What else do you need for visa-free entry?
To enter Thailand for a festival, most visitors need the TDAC, a passport and, on the visa-free scheme, an onward ticket out of Thailand within 30 days. Since 15 September 2026, visa-free tourist stays are 30 days for 60 countries and territories, visa-free entries by land are allowed twice a calendar year, and the scheme asks for funds of ฿20,000 a person or ฿40,000 a family, or the same in another currency.
Flying in over a long weekend? Check the Thailand public holidays for 2027 first, because flights and airports fill up.

How do you clear the airport fast?
The smooth way through the airport on a festival trip is the TDAC done before you fly, then airport fast track at Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang: a greeter meets you at the gate and walks you through the fast immigration lane.
- Airport fast track: ฿2,400 a person.
- Luxury van: with a driver from ฿6,500 for 10 hours, for up to 4.
Plan it with Tanner, or pick a festival trip with a villa base.
