When is S2O 2027?

S2O 2027 dates aren't announced yet. S2O usually runs in mid-April, just before or over the Songkran holiday: in 2026 the festival ran 11 to 13 April at S2O LAND on Ratchadaphisek Road, with K2O closing the run on 14 April. Checked 7 November 2026; we recheck in February.

When did S2O run in 2025 and 2026?

S2O ran 12 to 14 April 2025 in Bangkok and 11 to 13 April 2026 at S2O LAND on Ratchada Road, both times over Songkran. In 2026 S2O also opened K2O, its first K-pop edition in Thailand, on 14 April.

What is S2O?

S2O is a Songkran water festival party: three days of global DJs, electronic dance music and water battles in Bangkok. Big water features and buckets of water keep the whole crowd soaked.

S2O also runs abroad, with editions in Australia, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong and New York. The Bangkok festival is the one timed to the Thai New Year.

What makes S2O the world's wettest party?

S2O calls itself the world's wettest party because the water never stops: three nights of global DJs with giant water features, buckets and water battles across the crowd, right in the middle of Songkran in Bangkok.

• The water: big water features over the stage and the crowd, so everyone is soaked from the first song.
• The music: world-class electronic dance music from 5pm, after the gates open at 4pm.
• The timing: S2O runs in the evening, so you can join the street water fights by day and the festival by night.
• The extra day: in 2026, K2O added a K-pop night at S2O LAND straight after S2O.

Is S2O only in Bangkok?

No, but Bangkok is the original S2O, held every April over the Thai New Year. Its full name is S2O Songkran Music Festival, and other S2O editions run in places like Taiwan in June and Korea in July.

Where is S2O held?

S2O is held at S2O LAND on Ratchada Road in Bangkok, close to MRT Thailand Cultural Centre. There's no parking at the venue.

The fastest way in is a taxi or Grab: search for "S2O LAND". By train, take the MRT Blue Line to Thailand Cultural Centre (Exit 4) or Phra Ram 9, then a short ride. From Sukhumvit, ride the BTS to Asok and change to the MRT at Sukhumvit station.

For a group, a car with a driver is easier. A luxury van with a driver costs from ฿6,500 for 10 hours, for up to 4 guests. Ask Tanner and the car waits for you after.

How do you buy S2O tickets?

S2O tickets go on sale through the organiser, and 2027 prices aren't out yet. Ticket categories sell out, and when they do, the only safe way in is Event Pop's official resale, which runs until a few days before the festival.

Buy the day sales open. Check the 2027 sale dates on the organiser's channels from early 2027.

What are the S2O entry rules?

The S2O entry rules start with age: you must be 20 or over, and you need your physical ID or passport. Photocopies and phone photos aren't accepted.

• Gates: open at 4pm, and the show starts at 5pm.
• No re-entry: once you leave, you can't come back in, so bring everything you need.
• Lockers: paid lockers at the entrance and inside.
• Cameras: action cameras like GoPros only. No DSLRs or mirrorless cameras.
• No selfie sticks or tripods, except a device under 30cm that security approves.

What is K2O?

K2O is the K-pop edition of S2O, powered by S2O and held at S2O LAND. In 2026 it ran for one day, 14 April, right after S2O, with tickets at ฿2,500.

How do you plan a trip around S2O?

Plan a trip around S2O with a base in Bangkok, a car for the festival nights and the Songkran street parties by day. S2O runs in the evenings, so the afternoons are free for Silom and Khao San.

• Arrive: airport fast track at Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang, ฿2,400 a person: a greeter meets you at the gate and walks you through the fast immigration lane.
• Your base: a private pool villa from ฿18,500 a day, for the recovery days.
• Festival nights: a luxury van with a driver from ฿6,500 for 10 hours, for up to 4 guests.
• Second festival: SIAM Songkran Music Festival is confirmed for 10 to 13 April 2027 at Bravo BKK, so you can do both in one Songkran week.

Travel tips for S2O week: book flights and your base as soon as you know your dates, because the whole country travels at Songkran. Ride the MRT or a car with a driver to S2O LAND, since there's no parking.
